Parish Evangelization Cells: Small Groups at the Service of Synod Evangelization

In our spring 2023 Clergy Study Day, we looked at how recent popes have proclaimed the good news of “small communities” for today’s missionary Church. Having moved from “the 12 to the 72” in our own parishes and having invited those 72 into formation as small group leaders for relational evangelization, we will look at how the flexible and adaptable Parish Evangelizing Cells System (PECS) approach to small groups can concretely be good news for our parishes — and what a vital role the pastor (aided by associates and deacons) plays in the missionary transformation of the parish through the PECS model for parish-based small group ministry.

Speakers include Fr. Paul Fenech, international moderator of the Parish Evangelizing Cells System, and Fr. Victor Vella, national PECS coordinator in England, along with his facilitator, Meghan Dimbylow.
