Curious what it’s like to be a graduate student at the Saint Paul Seminary?

We invite you to experience it firsthand from Monday, November 17 through Thursday, November 20.

You’ll have the chance to sit in on real courses from our M.A. in Theology and M.A. in Pastoral Leadership programs, share dinner and conversation with current lay students, and get a feel for our vibrant academic community.

• 5:30 PM – Dinner with current lay students
• 6:00 PM – Sit in on class (45 minutes)
• 6:45 PM – Conversation and Q&A

Monday, Nov. 17 : Theology of Mary with Fr. Evan Koop

• This course explores Catholic teaching on the Blessed Virgin Mary—examining Marian dogmas, Vatican II theology, devotional practices, and her role in the life of the Church.

Tuesday, Nov. 18 : Theology of Sacred Scripture with Dr. Mark Giszczak

• This course offers an introduction to Sacred Scripture, exploring Catholic interpretation, key biblical texts, and major theological themes within the unfolding story of salvation history.

Tuesday, Nov. 18 : Liturgy & Sacraments with Dr. John Froula

• This course examines the theology of Catholic liturgical worship and the seven sacraments—especially the Eucharist—exploring their sacramental principles, ecclesial meaning, and spiritual implications.

Wednesday Nov. 19 – Survey of New Testament Literature with Sr. Mary Michaela Hoffmann, RSM

• This course surveys the major New Testament genres and introduces Catholic perspectives on canon, inspiration, and interpretation, while engaging a range of interpretive methods and approaches.

Thursday, Nov. 20 – Ecclesiology with Dr. Brandon Wanless

• This course examines the Church’s origin, nature, and mission in Scripture and Tradition—especially Lumen Gentium—exploring its marks, ministries, ecumenical mission, and Mary as a model of the Church.
