Those who name The Saint Paul Seminary as a beneficiary in their estate plan or who make a gift of $5,000 or more to the seminary endowment are eligible to join the James J. and Mary Mehegan Hill Society, comprised of those who sustain the work of priestly formation in this way.
One gift
In 1890, James J. and Mary Mehegan Hill gave a gift to establish The Saint Paul Seminary's endowment to ensure the future of the priesthood for generations to come. That generous gift built and sustained a seminary that has sent forth more than 3,000 priests to serve the Catholic Church throughout the Midwest and around the world.
One priest
By the power of the Holy Spirit and the gift of grace, each priest is an instrument of God. He consecrates the Eucharist, witnesses the marriage of our children, baptizes our grandchildren, anoints our loved ones and hears our confessions. In the name of Jesus Christ, he forgives our sins, teaches us to be merciful and leads us to an eternal reward. This is the legacy of each and every priest.
