Installation as an acolyte normally takes place during the configuration sage in a seminarian’s second year of theology. The ministry of Acolyte is to assist the deacon and the priest in liturgical celebrations, especially the Eucharistic Liturgy. Some sending bishops may request to install their own seminarian in their home diocese. Traditionally at The Saint Paul Seminary, a sending bishop is invited to preside over the installation. We are honored that Bishop Patrick Neary of the Diocese of St. Cloud has graciously accepted our invitation to preside over this year’s Acolyte Installation Mass. A reception will be hosted in the atrium outside of the chapel.
This event will also be live streamed on the seminary’s YouTube and Facebook channels.
