Seminaries of Saint Paul remember longtime friend, benefactor Jean Gray

Jean Gray was a longtime friend and benefactor of The Saint Paul Seminary and the University of St. Thomas.

The Saint Paul Seminary pray for the repose of the soul of Jean Gray, a longtime friend and benefactor of Saint John Vianney College Seminary, The Saint Paul Seminary and the University of St. Thomas. Gray passed away Jan. 11, 2022.

Following two years in the Air Force and a 30-year career as an FBI special agent, Gray eventually joined the The Saint Paul Seminary and Saint John Vianney College Seminary Board of Trustees. He was honored with The Saint Paul Seminary’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2019.

Gray, a 1951 St. Thomas alum, also served on the board for St. Thomas’ Center for Catholic Studies and was heavily involved in alumni relations and supporting the school, including funding of a scholarship in his name. He was a great friend of former St. Thomas president Monsignor Terrence Murphy and helped him establish an alumni association on the East Coast.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
